Today is 5 years and I can’t comprehend it, I’ve grown so much since then and I wish I could tell you all about it. You always knew when I was feeling down and you were always there for me even when we weren’t close at times. I remember all the times we hung out so well still, I don’t ever want to forget them. You were such a joy to be around and I miss that a lot.

This day always haunt me, but this one feels harder than last year. 5 years with you gone feels unreal and cruel. I don’t even know what to say, I just wish things were different and that you were okay and still here. The world misses you everyday, I think about you everyday. This day will never get any easier, but at least I’m thinking of you. I’m so grateful for the time we had together, even though it was short. I see you in every robin that comes to my garden, I see you in my dreams and on the street. I miss you.

I can’t comprehend that it’s been 5 years, 5 years without you and it’s heartbreaking. I often wonder about what you could be doing and the things you’d be achieving. I think about you all the time sometimes it creeps and sometimes it springs up when I least expect it. I’m finding it hard to express the words I want to say but just thank you for everything you said and did and I just wish that things could’ve been different. I hope your doing well up there I’ll continue for the rest of my life look out for you in small ways x

dear rue, today marks five years without you and it honestly feels completely unbelievable. unbelievable that i’ve lived through half a decade without you - my best friend and the first person in my life who ever put the effort into trying to actually understand me. i wish you were here so i could tell you about it all and how far ive come - that i wish it was something that we were sharing together. i owe so much of who i am to you and i wouldn’t have it any other way. despite all of this time i hope that somehow you know that not a day has gone by in these five years where i haven’t had you in my mind, taking you with me everywhere. along time ago you saved my life and i wish that me or anyone else could’ve done the same for you. you deserved so much more from your life and you never got to have that. im so sorry life was so unfair to you and i hope you’re resting easy. sending my love always

i still have the lavender they gave us at school. it’s still fresh and smells strongly of lavender. thinking of you always, can’t believe it’s nearly 5 years since you’ve been gone. I can’t comprehend it and don’t think I’ll ever be able to.

Even after four years it really doesn't get easier although so much time had passed. One day you’ll feel fine and the next all the emotions just hit you like a truck. I thought I had been able to process my grief and come to terms that you're actually gone but this day really brings back every single memory. Rest well Rue I love you so much
